One clip, three answers
A viewpoint, a bar and the hotel with the courtyard
A forty-second Granada video. The viewpoint is tagged on the post. The tapas bar is said out loud. The hotel is never named at all until the creator likes a comment asking about it. All three come back as cards with a neighborhood, a rating and a note saying where the name came from.
- Tagged on the post, so it is taken as given
- Named in the audio at fourteen seconds
- Named by a commenter the creator liked, then checked against the map
How it works
Paste, read, review
- 1
Paste the video
A TikTok, Instagram Reel, YouTube Short, Facebook video or Reddit post. On a phone, share it to Dreamfare from the video itself.
- 2
Dreamfare looks for names
The caption, any location tag, what the video says and shows, and the comment thread are all read for the names of real venues.

Review before you keep anything
Each candidate comes back as a card with its neighborhood, its rating and the line that justified it. Keep the ones that are right, drop the rest.
What it reads
Four signals, ranked by how much they can be trusted
A travel video hides its answer in several places at once, and they are not equally reliable. The order below is the order Dreamfare believes them in.
Caption and location tag
The cheapest, most reliable signal first. If the creator wrote the name or tagged the spot, that is the answer and the rest is corroboration.
What the video says and shows
Spoken audio and on-screen text, where the post makes them available. A name that only ever appears as a caption card in the edit still gets found.
The comment thread
Usually where the answer actually is. A name is accepted when the creator wrote, pinned or liked the comment, or when two unrelated accounts name it independently.
A check on the lonely guesses
One stranger naming a place is never enough on its own, because anyone can type anything and reply bots invent venues confidently. A single-voice name is only kept if the venue really exists near the destination and matches what the footage shows.
The honest part
It reads names. It does not recognize scenery.
What that means in practice
If nobody involved with the video ever wrote or said the name of the place, there is nothing to find, and Dreamfare returns an empty result rather than a confident guess. That is a deliberate trade: a wrong pin costs you an afternoon, and a page that promises to identify any beach from the water color would be lying.
What usually saves it anyway
Most travel videos do name their places somewhere. The caption, a tag, a caption card two seconds long, or the reply the creator left under the third comment. Reading all of them is why the answer usually exists even when the video itself looks silent about it.
After you review
Keep what is right, and it is on your map
Pinned, with an address
Each kept place carries coordinates, a neighborhood and the details behind it, so it opens in your map app or sits on the Dreamfare map with everything else you saved.
Filed into your library
Places go into a folder in your saved places, named for the destination. Ten videos about one city end up as one list rather than ten.
Ready for a trip when you are
Adding them to a trip is a separate step. Finding out where something is does not commit you to planning a holiday this evening.
Finding places is the small half
Once a few are saved, the planner can order them into days that respect the map, and the stops that can be booked carry partner links with live prices. That is a different page, because it is a different job, and plenty of people only ever want the pin.
Questions people ask
- Can it identify a place from the scenery alone?
- No, and it does not pretend to. Dreamfare finds the names of places, in the caption, the tag, the audio, the on-screen text and the comments, and then matches those names to real venues. A silent, untagged clip of an anonymous beach with nothing written about it will not produce an answer, and you will be told that rather than handed a guess.
- How do I know a result is not made up?
- Every place has to resolve to a real venue with an address and coordinates, and the source of the name is shown on the card. Names that came from a single commenter are only kept when the venue exists near the destination and is consistent with what the video shows. Anything that does not clear that bar is left out.
- Do I have to save what it finds?
- Nothing is committed anywhere else. Results come back as a reviewable list, you keep what is right, and you can rename, delete or add to it afterwards. Getting a place wrong costs one tap to remove.
- Which platforms work?
- TikTok videos and photo posts, Instagram Reels and posts, YouTube videos and Shorts, Facebook videos and Reddit threads. Private, deleted and region-blocked posts cannot be read by anything that is not signed in to that account. Screenshots work when a link does not.
- How many places does one video usually give?
- It depends entirely on the video. A single-venue clip gives one. A city roundup can give a dozen. A video that shows a lot and names nothing gives none, which is a real answer and not an error.
- Does the creator get credit?
- Yes. Every place keeps a link back to the video it came from, and Dreamfare never stores the media itself, only public information about the post.

Paste the link, see what it names, and keep the places that are actually right.
