A useful starting point
Start with the journey you actually took
Choose the departure and arrival regions and the airline that operated the flight. The checker considers common EU261 and UK261 route rules.
Describe what went wrong
Tell us whether you were delayed, cancelled or denied boarding. For delays, use lateness at your destination rather than the time spent waiting to take off.
See an explanation, not just a yes or no
Your result explains which answers matter. Uncertain causes, connections and cancellations need further review rather than an automatic promise of compensation.
Choose how to take it forward
Read the official passenger-rights guidance and contact your airline, or open AirHelp for its own assessment.
Before you plan
This is a preliminary screening tool, not a legal decision or verified flight lookup. It does not calculate payouts or check claim deadlines. Other passenger rights may apply even when this screening does not identify a potential claim.

Questions before you start
- How does the flight delay compensation checker work?
- Answer a few questions about your route, operating airline and disruption. The tool processes your answers in your browser and shows a preliminary result with suggested next steps.
- Does the checker look up my flight’s live status?
- No. It screens the answers you provide. It does not verify airline records, confirm the cause of a delay or submit a claim.
- Does a positive result mean I will receive money?
- No. It means your answers suggest a claim may be worth checking. The route, cause, evidence, deadlines and applicable law still need to be reviewed.
- Can it check cancellations or missed connections?
- You can select cancellations, denied boarding or a connecting itinerary. The tool explains why those cases need individual review instead of applying a simple delay test.
- Do I need to use a claims company?
- No. You can contact the airline directly. AirHelp is an optional external service with its own terms and fees; Dreamfare does not submit a claim on your behalf.
